KROZEL, Lawrence M.
Lawrence M. Krozel, 82, of Middletown passed away, after a long illness, on Thursday, (August 22, 2013). He was raised in Andover, CT, son of Joseph and Ethel (Smith) Krozel, and he was the beloved husband of Vincentina (Mazzotta) Krozel, who predeceased him by twelve years. He served in the Korean conflict and attended Yale University, where he studied classical languages, after which he was employed by Aetna, Travelers, and, for the majority of his career, LlMRA International. A devoted father, he is survived by son Michael and his wife Kathleen (Labbe) Krozel, daughter Katharine Krozel, and son Lawrence Krozel ll, in all of whom he inculcated a deep appreciation of Christian faith and the arts.
Family and friends may call from 5-8 PM on Monday, August 26 at D'Angelo Funeral Home in Middletown, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 27 at St. Colman Church in Middlefield. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian's Cemetery in Middlefield . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the PKD Foundation (www.pkdcure.org/).
