KAISER, Layton Joseph
Layton Joseph Kaiser, 64, beloved husband of Heather (Maynard) Kaiser of South Windsor, passed into the arms of the Lord, Monday, (October 28, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Albany, NY on November 10, 1948 he had lived in South Windsor for the past 22 years. Joe was a proud member of United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife, Joe leaves two children, Layton J. Kaiser II, in Pennsylvania and Cathi Kaiser in California; a brother, Walter Kaiser and his wife, Judy in Mexico; two grandchildren, Layton J. Kaiser III, and Kaylee Renee Kaiser. He also leaves Heather's children, Vincent Spera and his wife, Alexandra and their children, Sophia and Gabriel in North Carolina and Melissa Spera of South Windsor. Also surviving are, a step-sister, Carol Kilpatrick and step-brother, Mitchel Hoffman.
Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Department of Connecticut, 345 Cold Springs Road Suite 315, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Funeral and burial will be held privately. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, South Windsor has care of arrangements.

One year today dad you are still missed as much as the day you leftist hope peace has been found for you cause I can't say the same for me as well as many of the other people that were left behind to mourn the loss of such a great man.

I will always remember my Poppy Joe as the loving Grandfather that he was to me. Always on fishing and camping adventures. Yard sales, and helping him with chores. You will always be missed by this heart.. But never forgotten. I love you Poppy and will see you again someday.
