CHARETTE, Lottie (Paradis) (Michaud)
Lottie (Paradis) (Michaud) Charette, 95, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, (July 4, 2013) surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard "Ned" Michaud for 32 years, with whom she raised eight children and the late Edward Charette for 19 years. Born in Frenchville, ME, on September 3, 1917, daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (DuFour) Paradis, she lived in Fort Kent, ME for many years until moving with her family to Hartford, where she lived for over 50 years. She was a parishoner of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church and was employed there until her retirement in 1985. Our mother Lottie is the first of five generations in her family. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she leaves her seven children, Donald and Bernadette Michaud of New Britain, Claude and Teresa Michaud of Newington, Pauline Picard and her husband Claude of Wethersfield, Joan Michaud Babineau of Rocky Hill, J. Carroll and Sandra Michaud of Plainville, Mary Ann Michaud of East Hartford, and Lucille Michaud and her husband Paul Miller of Kensington, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Peter Paradis and his wife Rachel of Bristol; three sisters, Marie Kloc and her husband Ted of East Hartford, Loretta Pedagimas and her husband John of South Windsor, and Cecile Caron of Hartford; many nieces and nephews, and extended family of Ed Charette. Along with her parents, first husband, and second husband, she was predeceased by her loving son Lionel Michaud; her two precious grandsons, Kevin Michaud and Gary Picard; her brothers Wilfred and Sylvio Paradis; and her sisters May Richards, Sadie Bernier and Anna Coulombe. Her family would like to express their gratitude to everyone at West Hartford Care and also Wethersfield Healthcare where she resided for over three years. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and care everyone gave her, we are truly grateful". Mom, God saw you getting tired so he came to take you home. You will be truly missed, not only by your family but all those who ever knew you. You touched many lives; you were always such a warm, loving, caring person. You always put others before yourself. To all of those who gave us their love, support and prayers, we thank you. Mom, we've been very blessed to have you for our mother. Thank you for all the sacrifices you had to make for us, your life was not always easy but you never complained because of the strong faith you had in God. Now God has made a place for you in heaven. Mom, we will forever love you. Someday we will be all together again and we'll all sit together and have a nice warm cup of tea. God bless you pretty lady.
