Magdalene Blake Obituary
Magdalene "Maggie" Blake, 78, of Hartford, Beloved mother, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2013. Born in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Doss and Lillian Murray, she had been a resident of Hartford for most of life. Maggie was independent woman and courageous woman who was humble and funny to her family and friends and she will be missed. Besides her daughter Dorothy Murray and grandson Omar Murray, her sister Tressie (Jimmy) Davenport-Turner, brothers Joseph B. (Shirley) Murray of Darlington, SC, Otis (Raleigh) Murray of Elizabeth, NJ, Elijah (Ludell) Murray of Windsor, CT, Eddie Murray, Hartford, and her best friend James Pittman of Putnam, and a Host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Maggie leaves many family and friends to grieve at her passing. Maggie's family would like to thank Masonicare and The Betty Larus Adult Day centers administratives and nursing staffs and BESA Companions and Homemakers for the supportive and loving care. Maggie received while at their Health Care centers. Calling hour Saturday, Jan 4, 2013 at 9:30 and funeral service at 10:30 at Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service 94 Granby Street Bloomfield, Ct. Burial Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Ct.
