LIBBY, Marian E. (Woods)

Marian E. (Woods) Libby, age 68, of Tavares, FL and Mansfield, CT lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, (August 18, 2013). She was born June 27, 1945 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Malcolm and Christine Woods. She graduated from Coventry Connecticut High School in 1963. She was employed at Aetna Insurance for 18 years and the State of CT for 17 years before retiring in 2001 due to her health. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Libby; sister, Kathleen and brother-in-law, Alan Carr; nephew, Jeff and great-nephew, Jory; her in-laws, Harvey and Mabelle Libby; brothers-in-law, Frank and Richard; sister-in-law, Helen Rambush, her husband Loren and their sons Lance, Eric and his wife Allison, and Regina Libby and her son Jessie Longway. She also leaves behind her best friend Penny Harris.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 am at the First Congregational Church, Main Street in Coventry, CT. A reception will follow. Per Marian's wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
