Marion Roscio Obituary



Marion Rose Roscio, 79, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Monday January 13th after a brief illness. Born on May 16th, 1934 to Stephen and Christine Morgano of Enfield , CT Marion was a graduate of Enfield High School. She worked at Pratt & Whitney where she met her future husband Alfred Roscio whom she married in 1953. Marion was an outstanding homemaker, an accomplished musician and actress And had played several lead roles with the South Windsor Country Players. After raising three children she turned her talents towards working in the Aerospace Industry where she was a principle in two companies that helped bring Israeli Aerospace firms Carmel Forge and Iscar Blades work in the United States with both Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and the Department of Defense. She later went on to finance her son's purchase of Numet Machining Techniques, an Orange CT Aerospace Firm. She spent the last 20 years enjoying golfing at Ellington Ridge and Manchester CC along with displaying amazing culinary talents in the kitchen. Her talent for music, fashion, style and cooking prowess have been passed onto her three children as well as many of her 7 grandchildren. Marion is survived by her two sisters, Roseanne Knoepfle of Enfield, nieces Jennifer and Kirsten and Stephanie Smith of Enfield and Nephew Christopher, her son Mark and daughter in law Nancy and Michelle of Glastonbury, daughters Christine Roscio of Rocky Hill and Suzanne Kostyk and her husband David Kostyk of Tolland, 7 grandchildren, Meghan & Michael Diloretto of East Lyme, Mark Roscio and fiancee Adriana of Cromwell, David Denino of South Windsor, Jennifer and Ben Kolenda of New Smyrna Georgia, Breanne Kostyk of Birmingham Al, Nina Kostyk of Littleton CO. and Matt Kostyk of Tolland. She is also a proud great grandmother of Kaitlyn, Gianna,&Anthony Diloretto, Eleanor and Benjamin Kolenda along with a future great grandson, Mark Roscio due in June. Calling hours will be held at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor on Friday evening January 17th, from 5-�8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date to be determined by the family. She will be missed dearly. Donations in lieu of flowers should be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 300 Research Parkway, Suite 310 Meriden, CT 06450.
