CHARZEWSKI, Sister Mary Alfreda
Sr. Mary Alfreda, passed into eternal life at the age of 92, on Thursday July 11, 2013 in Our Lady of the Angels Care Center in Enfield. Sr. Alfreda recently celebrated her 75th year Jubilee as a member of the Felician Sisters.
Calling hours for Sr. Alfreda will be held on Sunday July 14, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. followed by a wake service at 4:30 p.m. in the convent chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Felician Sisters Retirement Fund. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield is assisting with Sister's arrangements. Dear Sr. Alfreda,
I miss you dearly & am grateful to God to have returned home to spend the last few days with you before God called you into His Loving Embrace. You were always so gracious & had a gentle countenance, even in the midst of all your sufferings. You taught me how to live & to be true to yourself, how to accept pain, sufferings, & injustices, & how to die in the Peace of the Lord, offering me your final words of thanks.
I extend my deepest, loving sympathy to all your family & beloved friends, especially Bob, Simone, Reggie & Michelle. Your goodness will live on in my heart & life & I'm sure in everyone whose life you touched, which were hundreds.
Let us always remember your famous words to live by:
" Love everyone.
Trust a few.
And always paddle your own canoe"
Know that your mission has been fulfilled & your final wish has been honored by me.
I know the Angels were waiting to welcome you into Paradise, for surely your good deeds have gone before you, my dear friend.
