Michael Conner Obituary
Michael Anthony Conner, 52, of Higganum, died Friday morning at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New Britain, son of Florence (Tolomea) Conner and the late Harrison Conner, he graduated from Berlin High School and Porter & Chester Institute, and was a self-employed contactor. He was a member of St. Paul Church, Polish Falcons of Middletown, and Between the Bridges Marina. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé Pamela Dunham and her children, Zach and Abby of Higganum, his children Mitchell and Michelle Conner and their mother Donna of Kensington, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and David Bernard of Kensington, and Maureen and Joseph Tenore of Berlin, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends and relatives may call at Porter's Funeral Home, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin on Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 467 Alling Street in Kensington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael A. Conner Children's College Fund, Liberty Bank, 1169 Farmington Ave., Berlin, CT 06037. TO THE CONNER AND TOLOMEA FAMILY, I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS! I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS 12 OR 13 MICHAEL GOING 4 WHEELING WITH CRAIG AND NICK.(and I had such a crush on Michael!!!! I,ve known Mike since I could walk, (or swim @ Percival pool). We grew up together, and mike always knew enough to stay out of trouble (most of the time) He never judged, Was always cheerful,and Always outfished everyone,(even if it was a Johneyroach @ the pond) Miss ya Bobaluke, I,ll write more after I can swallow this hook. My sincere sympathy goes out to Pam and the entire Conner family. I attended and graduated with Mike from Berlin High (Class of 1979). He was and seems to have remained a great guy and awesome friend. I don't recall a single time he didn't have that wonderful smile on his face and always ready to help anyone out. You will be sadly missed by all of us.
