Miriam Dumas Obituary
Miriam J. Dumas, 83, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Timothy R. Dumas, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1930 in Hartford to the late Clifford and Mattie (Duncan) Littmon. A classically trained musician, Miriam had a lifelong love of music and played the piano and upright bass. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Delphine Leibowitz of Oakland, CA; Deborah Dumas of Brooklyn, NY; Dawn Dumas of Windsor; Denise Dumas of Windsor Locks; her grandchildren, Timothy R. Dumas, Jamaal A. Dumas, Bryant A. Dumas, her great grandchild, Keyden Merlin, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son, Timothy R. Dumas, Jr., her brothers, George Littmon, Jack Littmon, Jr., Aurelius "Reese" Littmon, Joseph Duncan Littmon, Her sisters, Hannah Johnson and Carolyn Graham. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, January 10, 12 Noon, at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
