WRIGHT, Morrison M.
Morrison M. Wright, 87, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away January 26, 2013 at HCC at Bradley Memorial.
He was born Jan. 27, 1925 in Ashland, ME, son of the late Lloyd and Olean (Thibodeau) Wright. He retired from Superior Electric in Bristol and G.V. Machine in Southington. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing UCONN Women's Basketball and NASCAR. He is survived by his children, Colleen "Babe" Morgan and her husband Kevin of Ellington, Kathleen Vassar-King and her husband David of Plantsville and Maureen Kelly of Bristol, a brother James Wright, two sisters, Gloria Swazey and Maryann Kitteridge all of ME, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles, Bert, Lloyd Jr. and Wesley Wright.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 1 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Calling hours will be Saturday 12- 1 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home.
