MYTYCH, Patricia (Brazauskas)
Patricia (Brazauskas) Mytych left this life on June 28, 2013 after a long illness. "I always said when God needed a quilt He would call me home. It must have been cold in heaven yesterday because He called me home to be with my parents, Nina and Chester Brazauskas, and my brother Bob. I am leaving behind my husband, my prince, John, who has loved me, cared for me and protected me for 54 years. I thank God for my angel, John. I am also leaving behind three great kids and their spouses, Mary Beth McKibbin and her husband Brendan, John and his wife Karen, and David and his wife Nancy to take care of Dad and their wonderful children: Nicholas, Ashley, Joshua, Jessica, and Alyssa. I ask only that you love each other, and those children and practice understanding and patience. Through the years my heart was filled with my music and the choir at St. Joseph Church. My quilts and my books have brought me joy and peace. I hope my sisters Annette and Beverly, and my aunts Nell and Nettie (Sister Suzanne) will watch over my family. Those four are the matriarchs of the family. Holy Trinity, Cathedral High, Westfield State and University of Hartford gave me the tools to build my life when I was teaching in Bloomfield and Vernon, or working in Caldors, and Kellner's. There were those who made me smile, Toni, Helen, Joan, Elaine and Nancy. I am grateful for their friendship and prayers. So many people have touched my life and I have touched theirs. Thank you."
