HAPKIEWICZ, Phyllis M.
Phyllis M. Hapkiewicz left this world on the evening of June 22, 2013 at the age of 89. She was born April 11, 1924 in Wyndham, CT. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1980 and her oldest sister Gladys. She is survived by her son, Walter G. Hapkiewicz of East Lansing MI; her two grandchildren, Craig A. Hapkiewicz of Royal Oak, MI and Julie A. Mussog of Annapolis; and her great-grandson, Alex M. Mussog of Annapolis, MD. She also leaves behind her dear sister Betty Flynn, with whom she resided for 23 years after the death of her husband. She also leaves behind her sisters: Dorothy, Harriet, and Norma and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis will be remembered for her love of children and family. Phyllis never passed a baby or a small child without stopping to smile. She will be loved and missed.
A funeral Mass will held 10 a.m. July 13 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Glastonbury with burial following at St. John the Baptist Cemetery on the New London Turnpike.
