Rachel Harper Obituary

Rachel Jeanette (Bouchard) Harper, 65, of East Hartford, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lewiston, ME, she was the daughter of Constance (Caron) Bouchard of Glastonbury and the late Armand Bouchard. Rachel lived in South Windsor prior to moving to East Hartford eight years ago. She was employed as an office manager at the Teamsters Local 671 office before her retirement. Rachel enjoyed bowling, being at the beach but her most enjoyment came from being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by two adoring children; a son, Harold "Bo" Harper, Jr. of Vernon and a daughter, Kelly Scrivano and her husband Eric of East Hampton; two brothers, Richard Bouchard and his wife Joanne of South Windsor and Armand Bouchard and his wife Linda of Kissimmee, FL; a sister, Diane Plourde and her husband Patrick of East Hartford as well as two cherished grandchildren, Kyle and Lexie Scrivano. Rachel had many friends in her life and the love of one in particular will never be forgotten. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday (1/2/14) from 4 to 7 pm at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT 06118. Funeral services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, 80 Seymour Street, P.O. Box 5037, Hartford, CT 06102. Larry and Family,
Our heart goes out to all of you. We just heard this terrible news. I can't tell you how sorry we are. Rachel was an amazing person and she will be greatly missed by us. It will never be the same driving in on a Friday night during the summer and not seeing her smiling face. Our deepest sympathy, Gary and Donna
