POTIEZ, Rachel A.
Rachel A. Potiez, 66, of Manchester, died peacefully on Saturday (August 10, 2013) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 20, 1947, in Lewiston, ME, daughter of the late Andre Potiez and Mary (Landry) Hanson. Rachel was a resident with MARC Inc., in Manchester for many years. She was a fun loving woman who enjoyed jokes. She also loved bowling, animals, watching wrestling and cooking shows and traveling to Maine. She leaves her brother, Daniel Potiez and his wife Jane of South Windsor, her sister, Cosette Potiez of Manchester, a niece Julie Tomkunas and her husband Joseph and a nephew Michael Potiez, three grand nieces and a grand nephew all of South Windsor, and two special friends, Nicky Bates and Tina DeJesus. Her family wishes to thank her friends and extended family at MARC Inc., for all they have done for Rachel.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 15, 2013, 9 a.m., with burial to follow in Center Cemetery, South Windsor. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to MARC Inc., 161 Sheldon Rd., Manchester, CT 06042. Please visit us at www.carmonfuneralhome.com for online condolences.

Cosette, Uncle Dan, Aunt Jane, Julie, and Michael I was so sad to hear of Rachel's passing. I know how much she meant to all of you, and how much she will be missed. Saying a little prayer for all of you and sending you our love.

Rachel was a wonderful woman who was caring and giving to all her friends and loved ones. Her memories of growing up in Maine always put a smile on her beautiful face. She will be greatly missed.
