KERR, Rexford A.
Rexford A. Kerr, 83, of Granby, died Monday (May 27, 2013) at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 21, 1929 in Northampton, MA, son of the late Wallace and Agnes (Derosier) Kerr and had lived in Ellington, CT prior to moving to Granby 15 years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Kerr was a draftsman for many years prior to his retirement in 1994 and was active with the Granby Senior Citizens for many years. Rex enjoyed skiing, fishing, bowling and pool. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Clarkson and her husband, John and their children, Juliet and Graham of West Simsbury. His cat, Mandu, is adjusting to life with his grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Bill and his wife who live in Bullhead City, AZ; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law who both reside in MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow St. in Simsbury on Tuesday, June 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. Service and burial are private. Memorial donations may be made to McLean Hospice, 75 Great Pond Rd., Simsbury, CT 06070 or Mary's Kitty Korner, 287 Salmon Brook St., Granby, CT 06035.
