CONDON, Robert "Bob" Frederick
Robert "Bob" Frederick Condon, 79, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest Monday, (June 17, 2013) after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Diane (Walters) Condon, and the son of Fred and Dorothy Condon. Born in Bristol on Feb. 22, 1934, he was a lifelong resident of Farmington. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1952 and served three years in the Army being discharged in 1956. He was a lifelong salesman and retired from Connecticut Sand and Stone, and continued to work for Aiudi and Sons in Plainville up until the end, always looking for the next project to bid on. Bob was a 50 year member of Evening Star Lodge # 101 AF&AM in Unionville; He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Norwich; and was a member of Sphinx Temple Shrine in Newington. Bob is survived by his devoted daughter, Robin Condon of Farmington; a son, Jim Carey and his wife Marilyn of East Hampton; a beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law Richard and Naomi Bonati of Clinton; a brother-in-law, Glenn Walters and his wife Jennifer of Albuquerque, NM; several nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle B" more than life itself. Bob also leaves an abundance of close friends who all shared such wonderful memories that will live on through them. Bob loved to travel and took every opportunity for a new adventure. He knew that he had to stop and smell the roses every opportunity. He treasured spending his Florida vacations with his family and especially his "Sarasota Chickadees" and one special "Sarasota Mug".

The good times and special memories are too many to mention. Uncle Bob will forever remain close and in our hearts. We will continue to share the laughter of our joyous memories and many shenanigans we've created throughout the years - especially in our beloved Sarasota! I was lucky to spend some of Uncle Bob's last day with him. His love shined through his bright blue eyes and his strength and determination never left him. I have no doubt that the cork is pulled and the good times roll on! Loving niece and Sarasota Chickadee, Lisa P :)

I first met your dad when I was dating Bill and he worked at B & S... Such a character. I still remember swimming at your pool and lighting off firecrackers with you guys and the crazy Garrity boys. Thinking of you at the sad time... Ann and Bill Garrity
