GRAHAM, Robert L. Jr.
Robert L. Graham, Jr., 87, of Kensington, husband of Helen (Knowlton) Graham, passed away Monday, (May 20, 2013) at his home. Born in Wytopitlock, Maine, he was a former Enfield resident, lived in Gorham, Maine for nine years, moving to Kensington in 2010. Bob was a World War II, Army Air Corps veteran, and served in the Philippines. Bob worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 24 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Kensington Congregational Church; the American Legion Post in Berlin; and was a 50 year member of Baskahegan Lodge, AF&AM in Danforth, ME. Besides his wife Helen, he leaves two daughters, Carol Pensiero and her husband John of Kensington; and Kathleen Sensenich and her husband Dale of Lititz, PA; a sister, Gloria Knowlton of Standish, Maine; nine grandchildren, Melissa Graham in Mesa, AZ; Jason (Heidi) Sensenich, Janelle (Terry) Esbenshade, all of Lititz, PA; Laura (Rick) Sorensen of Simsbury; Thomas (Melissa) Pensiero of Bristol; Elisabeth (Philip Abraham) Pensiero of West Hartford; Katharine (Nick) Healy of North Haven; Daniel Pensiero of Eastampton, NJ and Sarah Pensiero of Kensington;10 great-grandchildren, Denise, Stephen, Adriana, Nicholas, Colin, Hayley, Ethan, Davin, Madeleine, Charlotte, as well as an eagerly awaited 11th grandchild in June; and many nieces and nephews including Heidi and Jim Byrnes and their children, Lauren and Blake. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Graham; two sisters, Bernice White and Beverly Gray; as well as five brothers, William, Waldo, Edwin, Kenneth and Herbert Graham. Robert's family expresses sincere thanks to the VNA Healthcare Hospice for the special care that they provided.
Funeral services with military honors are Saturday 10 a.m. at Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Ave., Kensington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday 5-7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Donations may be made to VNA Healthcare Hospice, 300 Queen St., Southington, CT 06489. Dear Helen and Family,
We wish to send our love and prayers. We pray God comforts you always. Bob will be greatly missed , he is a great man. We were blessed for the short time we talked at Church, always great to have him greet you and always made us feel special.
Praise that he is home now with our Lord.
