MARON, Robert "Bob"
Robert "Bob" Maron, 83, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly a life-long resident of Middletown passed away on Saturday (November 2, 2013) surrounded by his family and friends. Bob was the owner of Concord Steel Corporation in Middletown, for over forty years. He was very active in the Adath Israel Synagogue, serving on the Board for many years, as well as one of the founders of the Interfaith Golf Tournament now held every summer. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Robinson) Maron, of 56 years; and their three daughters and son-in-law, Ellen and Dr. Henry Gross, of Norwalk, Jill Maron, of Acton, MA and Nanci Maron, of Middletown. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Hannah, Adam, Mackenzie, Marni, and Cooper.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 4 at 2:30 p.m. in Adath Israel Cemetery, 714 Pine Street, Middletown with Rabbi Seth Haaz officiating. Donations in Bob's memory can be made to Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue, Beautification Fund, at P.O. Box 337, 8 Broad Street, Middletown, CT 06457 or Middlesex Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457. Doolittle Funeral Home, Middletown is handling the arrangements and messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
