WILSON, Ronald Alan
Ronald Alan Wilson, 67, of Manchester, husband of Donna (Chase) Wilson died Friday, (June 28, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Waterville, ME, he was the son of the late Roland and Dorothy (Hagan) Wilson and lived in Manchester for the past 37 years. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 38 years retiring in 2011. Ronald was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during Vietnam. Ron was active with the Cheney Tech Booster Club, serving as the president and was also active with sports throughout the years, coaching Little League and Midget Football in Manchester. Besides Donna, his wife of 46 years, he is survived by two sons; Rodney Wilson and his wife Lynda of East Hartford and Kevin Wilson and his wife Christina of Enfield as well as seven grandchildren, Dakota, Dalton, Jakob, Savannah, Nykolas, Renee and Kevin, Jr. Ron also leaves his special friends Chuan Deible, Karen Quarterson and Samantha Deible.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 2, from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St, East Hartford, CT 06118. A memorial funeral service will conclude the calling hours at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's name to the Cheney Tech Booster Club, c/o Howell Cheney Technical High School, 791 West Middle Tpke, Manchester, CT 06040. I just learned of Ron's passing today. I am so saddened. Ron was a friendly face at Cheney Tech and I always looked forward to saying hello to him. My thoughts are with his family.He will be missed.
