Rose YACAVINO Obituary



YACAVINO, Rose M. (Gagliardi)
Rose M. (Gagliardi) Yacavino, 86, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, beloved wife and best friend of the late John Yacavino, passed away Sunday, (August 11, 2013) at Manchester Manor. She was born February 5, 1927 in East Hartford the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Opito) Gagliardi. Rose had lived in Hartford most of her younger years and graduated from Hartford Public High School. She was a faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church in East Hartford. Prior to her retirement in 1991, Rose was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 18 years, Fuller Brush for 14 years and Arrow, Hart & Hegeman for five years. She is survived a brother Joseph D. Gagliardi of South Windsor; two nieces Karen Cunningham and Sandra Avampato; a nephew Tom Lupinacci; and several other nieces, nephews and dear friends. Including her husband John, and her parents, Rose was predeceased by a brother Daniel Gagliardi; three sisters, Sadie Lupinacci, Lillian Gagliardi and Mary Gagliardi; a sister-in-law Lorraine Gagliardi; a brother-in-law Al Lupinacci. Rose's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Manchester Manor for their care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 15, at 11 a.m in St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday morning from 9-10:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. For on-line expressions of sympathy please visit www.desopo.com.
