FOLEY, Ruth M.
Ruth M. (Conlon) Foley, 89, of Bristol, widow of James E. Foley died Monday (July 22, 2013) at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 29, 1923 in Everett, MA and was a daughter of the late William and Emma (Wallace) Conlon. She was a solderer at Bussman's for many years before her retirement. Prior to working at Bussman's she worked at Rowley Spring MFG Co. for 17 years. She was very devoted to her family and loved all kinds of animals. Her family would like to thank Vitas Hospice Care, Woodbury for the exceptional care that she received during her illness. She leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Foley of Ellington, and James and Lori Foley of Bristol; two daughters and a son-in-law Patricia Markeveys of Bristol, with whom she made her home with for the last year and a half, and Carol and Doug Duval of Bristol; six grandchildren, Noreen Ashe, Alan Foley, Adam Foley, David Thompson, Cindee Latko and Michael Duval; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her longtime friend, Marie Larson of Bristol. She was predeceased by a brother, William Conlon and two sisters, Mildred LeBlanc and Dorothy Riordian.
Funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Conn.
