Sherry L. LABBE

Sherry L. (Freberg) Labbe, 55, of Plainville, passed away with family surrounding her, after enduring a three year battle with cancer on Thursday, (December 12, 2013). Born in New Britain, she was one of five children to Homerine (Beaulieu) Freberg of Southingotn and the late Duane Freberg. Sherry was raised in New Britain and attended Southington High School. She was employed for Stanley Works in New Britain, before managing several area convenience stores, where she made a wide circle of friends. She shared the past twelve years with her beloved companion, Nicholas Laperuta, with whom she planned many trips to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather, and made a hobby of going to the casino. Small but mighty, Sherry leaves her family and friends with a legacy of great strength and determination, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her mother and Nicholas, she leaves her daughter, Erin Lacombe of Bristol; her grandchildren, Jordyn and Trinity; her sisters, Kim, Robin, and Kristine; her nieces and nephews, Damien, Tyler, Katryana, Anthony, and Payton; and many friends. Funeral services in celebration of Sherry's life will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Committal services will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Family and friends may gather on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville.
