KRASZEWSKI, Stanley J.
Stanley "Stan" J. Kraszewski, 70, of Newington, preceded in death by his loving wife Elaine (Gozzo) Kraszewski after 48 years of marriage, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday (October 16, 2013). Stan was born on March 11, 1943 in New Britain. He was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Misiorski) Kraszewski. Stan was a graduate of New Britain High School class of 1961. Stan worked as a salesman for area food distributors until he retired in 2008 to care for his wife and spend time with his family. In retirement, he took pleasure in spending time with family; especially taking vacations with his family and friends, casino trips with his wife and sons, swimming and fishing with his grandchildren. Stan was an amazing role model for enjoying the everyday celebrations of life with family, good food and laughter. Stan is survived by his sons Richard Kraszewski of Middletown and girlfriend Angela Todaro, Robert Kraszewski, and David Kraszewski of East Haddam and his wife Sarah; his grandchildren Sabrina, Michael, and Matthew, and numerous friends including lifelong friends Dorothy and Mario Sarlo.
His funeral service will begin on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington. He will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newington Memorial. WE HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM CT FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN WE WERE GROWING UP WE HAD A LOT OF GOOD TIMES. IT WAS GREAT WHEN HE WAS ABLE TO VISIT US HERE IN FLORIDA. HE ENJOYED HIMSELF, TOOK A LOT OF PICTURES, AND ENJOYED RIDING IN OUR GOLF CART.
