Stefania Polotnianka Obituary
Stefania Polotnianka, 94, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late John Polotnianka, passed away on Sunday (December 15, 2013). She was born in Ukraine on June 19, 1919. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her children, Peter Polotnianka of West Hartford and Susan Quinn and her husband James of Medford, NJ and her two adored grandchildren, Kathleen and Mark Quinn. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford, CT 06114. Everyone is invited to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Glastonbury. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. There will be a Panachyda service at 6:45 p.m. Donations in Stefania's memory may be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
