Stephanie Peggins Obituary
Stephanie Y. Peggins, 50, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at her home. Born in Hartford to Johnny Peggins and Priscilla (Taylor) Chambers, she graduated from East Hartford High School in 1981 and earned her associates degree from Manchester Community College in 2000. Stephanie worked for various companies including CT Mutual, Fleet Bank/Bank of America and ISGN/Fiserv, but she was best known for her talent at decorating. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind, including her parents, Johnny and Priscilla; her step father Franklin Chambers; her step mother Ester Peggins; her sisters Renee Robinson and her husband Arnold, Vernell Russell and her husband Kevin; her aunts Carol Jestin and her husband John, Palonomi Khumoestile (Hilda Taylor), Etta Jean Taylor and Iwilla Peggins; her nieces Tierra and Asia Womack; her Godson Duane Roberts; and favorite cousins, family and many dear friends. Funeral services will be private. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Stephanie Peggins. I worked with Stephanie at BankBoston back in the late 1990s. She was bright, hard working, and so much fun to be with. I have many photographs of the fun events and volunteer activities that we particpated in at the bank. No doubt, heaven has welcomed her with joy. I hope that your memories of this wonderful and accomplished woman will ease your sorrow.

Dear Priscilla & Frank and Family,
I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. She certainly wore the Love of God within her smile and must have touched the lives of all those who were blessed to have known her.

I sat next to Stephanie for years at our third-Monday-of-the-month Board meetings, and her peaceful demeanor and wry sense of humor truly kept me sane! She had such a gentle soul. I, and many others where she lived, will miss her very, very much. Please know that my prayers — our prayers — accompany Steph on her journey homeward, as well as her beloved family in this time of such profound grief. Godspeed kiddo! See you again soon!

Stephanie's charisma will truly be missed. I am so blessed for having had the opportunity to spend so many wonderful times with her throughout the years of hanging at the Peggins residence laughing, cutting up, talking about ourselves, reminiscing about our childhood, family, friends, relationships and work over awesome cocktails and good food until we were too tired to go home. Birthdays, holidays, reunions, and girls night will never be the same! I will miss her! May remembering Stephanie's gentle soul, beautiful smile and good-humor bring comfort and support to my family……
