Sylvia M. Ahern

1926 - 2014

Sylvia M. (Vincent) Ahern, 87, of South Windsor, wife of the late Francis J. Ahern, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was born September 7, 1926 in Middlebury, VT, the youngest child of the late Herbert and Mabel (Wimette) Vincent. Sylvia is survived by her loving and caring family who she adored; her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy J and Dayna M Ahern of Coventry; three grandchildren, Timothy 'TJ' Ahern Jr., Rebecca Ahern Walkiewicz, and Michael Ahern; four great-grandchildren, Brytnie Ahern, Tyler and Isabella Walkiewicz, and Adrianna Ahern; her sister, Beulah 'Dottie' Jurach of Bloomfield, who watched over and cared for Sylvia with love and dedication; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Perry Vincent and her sister, Leah Vincent. Sylvia will be sadly missed by all who loved her, but we are comforted in knowing she is reunited with her beloved 'Frank'. Relatives and friends may gather with her family Wednesday morning, January 15, 2014, at 10:00 with a funeral service following at 11:00am at the John F.
