Terri GASSER Obituary
GASSER, Terri Lynn (Donovan)
Beloved wife and mother Terri Lynn (Donovan) Gasser of Burlington was called home on Monday, (May 27, 2013) at Hartford Hospital during transplant surgery after a lengthy and courageous battle with liver disease. She was surrounded by loved ones. Terri was predeceased by her parents, James P. and Cynthia L. (Krampetz) Donovan. She leaves her beloved husband Edward and devoted, loving sons Joseph Edward and Nicholas James. She is also survived by her sisters Cindy Marshall of Farmington and Patti Donovan of Burlington and brother Gary Donovan and wife Christine of Newington, along with nieces Cathy Marshall and Meagan Donovan and nephews Patrick Marshall and Matthew Donovan. She will be forever missed by her pets Maggie, Riley, and Elvis, who brought her great joy and companionship. The family greatly appreciates the unwavering care and comfort Terri received over the last six months from her medical team, including Michael Einstein, M.D. and the Hartford Hospital transplant group, coordinated over the years by Deb Palmeri, R.N.
A celebration of Terri's life will be held at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Saturday June 1. Friends and family may call beginning at 9. A memorial service will follow at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terri's memory may be made to the Little Guild of Saint Francis animal shelter in West Cornwall, P.O. I was Terri's hairdresser in Avon for several years. I found out today through a friend of Terri's passsing. I was shocked and heartbroken. Terri was always happy and cheerful. She was one of those clients that I loved to see on my books because I knew we would have great conversations filled with humor. Terri talked with such love and admiration for her husband and her boys. I was a new mother and Terri always gave me the most honest helpful advice. My deepest sympathy and condolences to all her family. She will be truley missed.
