Theodore Kukish

1938 - 2013

Theodore Kukish, 75, of Rockfall, died December 21, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born on August 16, 1938, son of the late Andrew and Sophie (Otfinoski) Kukish. Ted served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He then went on to work for the Fafnir Ball Bearing Company in Newington as a tool and die maker and later he worked for Lyman Products of Middletown, retiring totally in 2008. He enjoyed wood working, working on cars and camping with his family at Hammonassett State Park. He was a member of the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Society of Rockfall and the American Legion. Ted is survived by his four daughters, Carolyn (Casey) Malon of Winter Park, CO, Beth Ann Kukish of Ellington, Jill Kukish of Rockville and Amy Kukish of Vernon, two sisters, Mary Ann (Kuki) Fleming and her husband Dave of CA, Kathleen Kukish of Rockfall, six grandchildren, Daniel Tyler Kukish, Julia Leigh DiNardi, Adam Kukish, Corey Devening, Alexander Carr, Alyssa Joe Carr, And one great-grandson Nicholas, one niece and two nephews in CA, Aunts and many cousins. The family would like to thank Middlesex Home Care for their great care and friendship. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Colman Church in Middlefield. Burial with military honors will be in the State Veterans' Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.
