Thér�se Topolski, 87, beloved wife of the late Benjamin L. Topolski of Windsor, passed away Friday (November 15, 2013) at The Village at Buckland Court in South Windsor. Thér�se was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on June 20, 1926, daughter of the late Antonio and Beatrice (Doherty) Hamel, and after marrying her sweetheart Benjamin came to the United States in 1955. The couple settled in Windsor where they raised their two daughters and attended St. Joseph Church in Poquonock. Thér�se was a hardworking and tireless lady who worked the second shift at Travelers Insurance Company for many years helping to support her family. She was a talented cook and baker who enjoyed preparing tasty dishes for family holidays and special occasions. Benjamin and Thér�se enjoyed going to the casino, bowling, attending parties, dancing, and vacationing with their daughters and family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother whose memory is forever cherished. She leaves two daughters, Celine Ferrand of Stamford and Monique Topolski-Hill and her husband Peter of Manchester; an adored grandson, Alejandro Ferrand; and a sister, Dorothy Gaudette of Montreal, Quebec. Besides her loving husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Andre Hamel. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Avenue, in the Poquonock Section of Windsor, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave, in Poquonock. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Poquonock.
