Thomas H. Lawler, 87, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Isabell (Wallace) Lawler peacefully passed away at home on Monday, December 16, 2013 surrounded by his family. Thomas was born on December 14, 1926 in Hartford, son of the late William J. and Ellen (Martyn) Lawler. He was raised in Hartford, graduated Bulkeley High School, Class of 1944, and attended the Hartt School of Music. He was a veteran of WW II, serving his country in the US Navy. Thomas was employed as a Systems Analyst for over 40 years with the former Industrial Risk Insurers of Hartford until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and for nearly 30 years coached Little League baseball, and served as the American League President of the East Hartford Little League. In retirement, he and Isabell enjoyed travelling, including their countless trips to Las Vegas. In addition to his beloved Isabell, he is survived by his son, Thomas H. Lawler Jr. and Phyllis Miller of Ellington, two daughters; Sharon Castillo of East Hartford and June Raymond and Ronald Dubay of Manchester, his two grandchildren; Ian Raymond of Manchester, and Sarah Castillo and her two children Blake and Makayla Rowell all of East Hartford. In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his two sisters, Marguerite and Edwina and his brother, William J. Lawler Jr. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
