Vern Wehr Obituary
Vern W. Wehr, 85, of Deep River, passed away on December 10, 2013 in Middletown. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Deep River Congregational Church, Church Lane in Deep River. Vern was born in Sharon, PA to Vern C. and Leona (Mook) Wehr on December 18, 1927 and raised in the Youngstown area. He married Carolyn L. (Fusek) Wehr on October 18, 1947 in Canfield, Ohio. He graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA and earned a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Columbia University. He taught High School for over 30 years in Pelham, NY before retiring. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Vern is preceded in death by his parents, and his Grandparents Mark and Anna Wehr. Vern is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn L. Wehr, his son James Wehr, his daughter, Kathy Harper, 5 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Vern's name to the Deep River Congregational Church, P.O.
