Virginia I. "Ginny" (Marstiller) Kuhn, 89 of Manchester, loving wife of sixty six years to the late Henry E. "Ray" Kuhn, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born November 23, 1923 in Hazelwood, West Virginia, the oldest child of the late Glenn and Caroline (Hamrick) Marstiller. Prior to her marriage she was employed by the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. in Elkins, WV. After moving to Manchester in 1946 she was employed by the Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance Co. She was a member of Center Congregational Church for sixty years and a member of the Manchester Garden Club over thirty years. Ginny is survived by her children, James Kuhn and his wife Elizabeth of West Hartford, Gary Kuhn of Vernon, and Deborah Porter of Manchester; four grandchildren, Jennifer Schade and her husband Doug of Boston, MA, Emilie Kuhn of Brooklyn, NY, Kelley D'Onofrio and her husband Lucas of South Windsor, and Jack Porter of Manchester; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Isabelle, and Mackenzie, all of South Windsor; a brother, Glenn Marstiller and his wife Ruth of Ohio; a sister, Eleanor Tacy and her husband Virgil of West Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Aline Marstiller of DE, Vonda Marstiller and Louise Marstiller, both of OH, and several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Center Congregational Church, 11 Center Street, Manchester. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Center Congregational Church, the American Heart Assoc., or the Celiac Disease Foundation of CT. The family would like to thank her caregivers Lucy and Kathy, also the nurses and aides from the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT.
