William Tiggett Obituary
William LeRoy Tiggett, 78, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his home in Virginia Beach, VA. He was born September 23, 1935 in Richland, GA to the late Albert & Maude (Tompkins) Tiggett. He was an employee of the City of Hartford for many years, a longtime member of the Ebony Horsemen of Hartford and enjoyed Quarter Horse Drag Racing.He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters; Deborah Tiggett-Jones (Charles), Rocky Hill; Linda Daniels, Oxon Hill, MD; Yolanda McDaniels, Jacksonville, FL; sons: William Watkins, Jacksonville, FL; Glenn M. Spencer (Elka), Windsor; Kimo L. Kendrick, Sr., Los Angeles, CA; Sil-Austin Kendrick, Suffield; London K. Kendrick, Sr., Hartford. He also leaves his sisters; Annie Huff, Hartford; and Marilyn Grant, Hartford; his brother, Robert, Virginia Beach, VA. He also leaves 13 Grandchildren, 7 great-grand children, 1 great-great granddaughter and 1 great-great-great grandson, over thirty nieces, nephews, and hundreds of extended family members. Most importantly, he also leaves his best friend; George "Jazz" Richardson, and son by affection, Larry Percy, who spent invaluable time with him in his last days. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by: son, Kim L. Tiggett, sister, Thelma Tiggett; brothers: Albert Tiggett, Jr., Alvin "Pee-Wee" Tiggett, and King Tiggett, as well as his grandson, Christian. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, December 27, 12 Noon at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service at the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
