ZIOLO, William J.
William J. Ziolo, 91, of Windsor, husband of the late Lottie (Zbyszynska) Ziolo, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. Born in Rockville, he lived in Windsor for over 53 years. William served in the US Army during W. W. II in both North Africa and Italy with the 7th Infantry. He was employed by Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies before his retirement. William enjoyed traveling with his wife before her death in 2012. He leaves a son Richard Ziolo and his wife Rita of Broad Brook; a granddaughter Lisa Barry and her husband Tim; a great grandson William Barry; and two sisters Joan Palka of Somers and Amy Paukowski of South Windsor. He was predeceased by his brother Emil Ziolo.
His family will receive friends Monday, July 29, 2013 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
