WASSELL, Wilmot M. "Babe"
Wilmot "Babe" Mullett Wassell, 92, of East Granby, CT loving husband of the late Dorothy (Christensen) Wassell entered into Eternal Rest on October 11, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born June 10, 1921, in Hartford, CT the son of the late George and Alice (York) Wassell. Babe moved to Windsor Locks in 1953 and moved to East Granby in 1995 to be with his family. He was employed at the former Whitney Chain Co. in Hartford and retired in 1982 after 25 years from New Dresser Industries. Babe is survived by two children, James Wassell and his wife, Regina of Vernon and Susan Morel and her husband, Gerry of East Granby; a brother, Robert Wassell of Wallingford; three grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson and her husband, Sean of South Windsor, Valerie Morel and her husband, Aaron Meicht of New York and Brett Morel of East Granby; four great grandchildren, Zoe, Thomas, Leon and Dorothy. Babe was predeceased by two brothers, George and William Wassell.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, October 14, 2013, during a visiting hour from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
