Alice Willson Obituary

Alice Hazen Wilson, 78, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, died peacefully at home on Friday, (April 11, 2003) surrounded by her loving family. Alice was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice (Bevins) Hazen and wife of the late Judge Henry (Hank) Willson, Sr. Alice was born August 1, 1924 in Burlington, VT, graduated from Burlington High School in 1942 and studied voice and singing with teachers Royal Dadman and Lauria Grandey in Burlington. She married Hank on Dec. 27, 1948 and they lived for 18 yrs in E. Hartford before settling in Mt. Lebanon, raising seven children and enjoying 52 years of marriage. Alice loved music and had a life long passion for flower gardening. She is survived by her children, Lynda of Shelburne Falls, MA; Timothy and wife Catherine of Starksboro, VT; Henry Jr of Bridgeville, PA; Peggy and husband Paul Milkovich of Canfield, OH; Judi Amick of Mt. Lebanon and Diane and husband Dan Moskal of South Park, PA. She was predeceased by her husband Hank, son Richard, and brother Robert Hazen. She leaves her sisters Ann Hall of Charlotte, VT and Kay Towne of Essex Jct, VT; her grandsons, T.J. and Christopher Amick; Justin,Tyler and Connor Moskal.and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Family Hospice of Mt. Lebanon and Karen Hess for their compassionate and loving care during her illness. Friends may call on the family to pay respects at the Willson family residence in Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday, April 15, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 10 a.m. at the Beverly Heights United Presbyterian Church, 1207 Washington Rd, Mt Lebanon, with burial following at the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. All welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Hospice, 250 Mt. Lebanon Blvd, Suite 203, Pittsburgh, Pa 15234.
