Daughter to the late John and Maria Rose (Pinto) Fonseca, she was born on Valentine's Day 1924 in Pawtucket, RI. At an early age her family moved to Hartford and then to Windsor where Alice graduated from John Fitch High School in 1943. She met her husband, Louis at Veeder Root in Hartford, where she worked as the time keeper and he an electrician. After her retirement from Aetna Insurance, nana enjoyed many fulfilling years having fun and being a part of her grandchildren's lives. Alice was a faithful communicant of St. Gabriel Parish, a past president of the Rosary Society and a past member of the choir. She loved to sing and at any given time would burst out in song making us all laugh. Alice was a special person to many people, and always strived to help in any way possible. Short of stature but large in spirit, she always voiced her opinion, whether you wanted it or not, but always had your best interest in heart. She accomplished much in her life; her family being her greatest. She was quite the story teller and her laugh was contagious. In her leisure she enjoyed cooking, painting, crafting, her bible study group with many of her lifelong friends and traveling. She resided in Windsor for 61 years before retiring a second time to North Carolina with her daughter. Alice was the widow of Louis Dziedzinski, Jr. and was preceded in death by her son John E. Dziedzinski. Surviving is her daughter Mary Anne (Dziedzinski) Sauer, husband Edward L. Sauer of NC; her son Thomas L. Dziedzinski, wife Laura (Johnson) Dziedzinski of AZ; two grandchildren, Thomas J. Dziedzinski, wife Alexandria (Lansana) Dziedzinski and Sarah E. Dziedzinski also residing in Arizona. She also leaves her brother Raul J. Fonseca, wife Irene (Rice) Fonseca and two nieces Sharon and Susan Fonseca of Windsor, CT. A niece, Sharon (Dziedzinski) Cooney, husband Patrick Cooney of FL, along with many other friends and family. She was a dedicated and remarkable wife, mother, nana and friend to so many and will be greatly missed by her family and the many lives of those she touched along her way. She made us all strive to do our very best and to never give up. May she find comfort and joy in Gods' loving arms.
