Bailee Blue Barrows

Obituary Condolences

BARROWS, Bailee Blue Bailee Blue Barrows, 15, of Harrisville, NH died Sunday, (September 30, 2007) at Boston Children's Hospital surrounded with love by her parents and close family friends. She was born in Peterborough, NH on April 24, 1992. At 1, she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. She was given six weeks to live and fought through three steady years of cancer treatments, surviving all odds, with amazing grace. Accomplishments that came as routine for others were major victories for her as learning to ride a bike, ski, and dance in the New Hampshire Dance Institute. She adored swimming, boating, and animals, spending time with her older brother Max, her friends and family, and beloved cousins Austin and Lilly Sawyer. Harrisville town beach days with her dear friend Ariel Temple, Cape Cod beach days, giggling, and cookie dough ice cream were some of her other life favorites. At age 14 the cancer returned and all would marvel at her steady acceptance throughout her final year. She is survived by her brother, R. Maxwell Barrows who is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Portland, ME; mother, Pamela Barrows of Harrisville, NH; her father, Robert Barrows of Peterborough, NH; maternal grandmother, Helen Mikol of Fairmont, WV; and paternal grandmother, Lois Barrows of Bloomfield. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Robert W. Barrows. A memorial service will be held in honor of her life on Friday, October 5, 3 p.m., at the Nelson Congregational Church in Nelson, NH. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Attn. Michele Cox, 44 Binney Street, Boston MA, 02115. Please indicate the donation is intended for pediatric brain tumor research. Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Keene, NH is in care of arrangements.
