VENDETTA, Catherine "Peachy" (Hall)

Catherine "Peachy" (Hall) Vendetta, 85, of Manchester, the wife of 50 years to the late Francis P. Vendetta died Tuesday, (May 1, 2012) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Killiard) Hall and William A. Hall. Peachy was a volunteer in Manchester Memorial Hospital's Physical Therapy Department for over 25 years, played in the Women's Golf League at Manchester Country Club for over 20 years and was active in the Church of the Assumption Mothers' Circle. She also loved her Tuesday morning meetings with the ladies of the "Christian Group," and was famous for her "Peachy's Pies" and "Peachy's Perfect Pancakes". She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend. Peachy is survived by her children Catherine Decarli and her husband Dr. Robert DeCarli of Wethersfield, William Vendetta and his wife Elaine of Old Wethersfield, Elizabeth Vendetta of Brattleboro, VT, Mary Tribuzio and her husband Raymond of Farmington, and Thomas Vendetta and his wife Connie of South Windsor; and her grandchildren David DeCarli and his wife Susan, Stacey Vendetta, Shannon Perrone and her husband Jason, Trevor Golding, Ryan Golding and his wife Heather, Sarah and Louis Tribuzio, Heather Lodge and her husband Joe, and Steven Vendetta. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Stephanie DeCarli, Kate Costa, Isabella Perrone, and Macie and Silas Golding.
Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester on Friday (May 4) from 10:30 - 12:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 29 Adams St., South, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis CT Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, First Floor, Hartford, CT 06112-1269 or . Burial will be private.
