Kippy was able to make one final trip back home to Lubec this past summer where he stayed with his niece Betty and her husband Richard Cantlon and was treated like royalty. He was constantly surrounded by friends and family who were often lucky enough to hear Kip sing and play his guitar. One of his lasting legacies will be Uncle Kippy's Restaurant in Lubec, ME, which his nephew George Olson and his wife Sonia opened over 20 years ago. He loved being in the great outdoors, spending time on the beach, and having barbeques with his family and friends.
