Daniel Moore, 43, of Plainville, formerly of Windsor Locks, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, (February 15, 2012). He was the beloved husband and best friend of Kristen (Costanzo) Moore. Dan was born on October 24, 1968, son of Charles and Elizabeth (Vedeler) Moore of Windsor Locks. He was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, joining the U.S. Army following graduation. He proudly served his country for four years, earning Airborne qualification, was honorably discharged in 1991 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Central Connecticut State University. An 18-year member of the Vernon Police Department, he was sworn in as an officer in 1994, served on the Narcotics Task Force, and was promoted to his current rank of Sergeant in 2003. In addition, he was contractor and talented home builder, and partner with his wife in their business, Moore Developers. An outdoors enthusiast, he had a love for the ocean and traveling to the islands, celebrating his marriage in Jamaica this past December, and was a die hard Red Sox and Patriots fan. Above all, Dan took great pride in all that he accomplished, especially his role as a father to his adored daughter, Jen, and centered his life around his family. He had a larger than life personality and infectious smile that would light up the room. He will be greatly missed by his family and wide circle of friends, leaving them with many cherished memories. In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his daughter, Jennifer Moore of Glastonbury, his siblings, Lisa and Edward Majewski and their children Mathew, Christine and Justin Singleton; Tom and Pam Moore and their children Ryan and Alison; Julie and Huck Sales and their children Rachel, Rebecca, Allison and David; Steven and Jinyan Moore and their children Scott and Grace; Lora and Chaz Fowler and their children Bryan and Jessie; Cara and Norm Nadeau and their son Alex; Daisy and Ty Aiken and their son Kenya; Doug Moore, Akeem Moore, Katie Moore, and Mathew Moore, and his biological brother John Samuolis.
