HALE, David Allen

David Allen Hale, 49, of Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, (October 7, 2012) at his home. Born in Hartford on May 30, 1963, son of Bruce Alvin Hale, Sr. of Bloomfield and that late Amelia May (Riley) Hale, he was raised in Enfield and Bloomfield and had lived in East Hartford and Manchester before moving back to Bloomfield five years ago. David was a professional truck driver and worked for Emhart Glass in Windsor and later for Revest Northeast in Manchester. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and camping at Peppertree Campground in Eastford and on his family's land in West Brookfield, MA. A longtime Bloomfield resident, he served the town as a volunteer fireman with the Blue Hills Avenue Fire Department, Company 2. Most of all, he will be remembered as a loving son, father, and grandfather who loved to be with his family. Besides his father, he leaves a son, Joshua Hale of Bloomfield; a daughter, Samantha Hale of Enfield; two sisters, Donna Hale of Bloomfield and Patricia Johnston of Windsor; four grandchildren whom he cherished, Arianna, Amyiah, Aden, and Lestat. He also leaves his true love of 17 years, Holly Bernardini of Manchester and her children, Ernest Lavoie, Jr. of Windsor Locks and Keith Lavoie of Manchester. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Alvin Hale, Jr.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 11, 12-1:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service, 1:30 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, in the Poquonock section of Windsor. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the ASPCA, 520 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018 or by visiting, www.aspca.org/donate.
