Obituary Condolences

ADORNO, Donald D. Donald D. Adorno, 88, widower of Lois (Valenti) Adorno, of New Britain, passed away Tuesday, (November 2, 2010). Donald was born in New Britain to the late Rosario and Mary (Carpenter) Adorno and was a lifetime resident. He proudly served during Wolrd War II in the U.S. Merchant Marines and had been employed as a carpenter with FIP Corp. before his retirement. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his two sons: Ronald Adorno and his wife Patricia of Newington and Daniel Adorno and his wife Kelly of Jeffersonville, VT, his loving three grandchildren; April, Kari and Shawn and precious six great grandchildren; Brian, Megan, Emily, Matthew, Jacob and Luke. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph Adorno and his wife Josephine of Chandler, AZ, two sisters; Marie Cassone and Lois Beaudoin and her husband Fern, all of Florida, a sister-in-law: Rolena Adorno of Hamden, a sister in law Dinah Raimondo and her husband Philip of Newington, sister in law Priscilla Dombroski and her husband Edward of Plainville, brother in law Phinehas Valenti and his wife Rebecca of New Britain and many nieces and nephews. Donald was also predeceased by brother David and sister Mary Adorno. Visitation Services will begin Saturday, (November 6, 2010) from 10-11 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Peter Stonis officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
