MOORE, Edward H. Edward H. Moore, 89, founder of Gems Sensors, died Thursday, (June 3, 2004) at his home in Sun City Center, FL under the care of Hospice and the wonderful nurses and caregivers at The Courtyard ALF. A mechanical engineer and inventor, Mr. Moore started the Gems Sensors Company in Newington in 1955, introducing flow and level indicators. Gems is now a multimillion dollar operation with companies worldwide. His survivors include his wife, Lois S. Moore; three children, Edward H. Moore, Jr. of Sebastian, FL, Ronald H. Moore of Ruskin, FL, and Patricia L. Moore of Clarendon, VT; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. At his request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be at the Smith family cemetery in Clarendon, VT at a date convenient to the family. LEWERS FUNERAL HOME.
