MONROE, Fred "Trent" LaTrent

Fred "Trent" LaTrent Monroe, 41, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Friday, (May 4, 2012). Born in Hartford, son of Freddie Monroe of Thomasville, GA and Eunice (Rogers) Henderson of Bloomfield, he was a lifelong resident of Hartford. Trent was educated in the Hartford Public School System and went on to complete a certificate program in computer and network technology at the Sawyer School. He was fun loving and had a very easy-going personality. Trent had a natural gift for mathematics and excelled at chess, board games, and video games. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching sports, especially his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. Most of all, Trent will be remembered as a family man who enjoyed hosting parties and treating his guests to special meals he prepared on the grill. He leaves to mourn his passing, his father, Freddie Monroe of Thomasville, GA; his mother, Eunice Henderson and her husband Carl of Bloomfield; a son, Lawrence Monroe of Hartford; three daughters, T'ashya Monroe of Miramar, FL, Tiesha Monroe, and Rashia Monroe all of Hartford; his paternal grandmother, Alberta Monroe Hester of Thomasville, GA; two sisters, Tielen Williams and her husband George of Hartford and Tonja Edwards of Newington; two stepbrothers, Carl Dwaine Henderson and his wife Zanetta of East Hartford and Gary Henderson and his wife Betty of Middletown; a stepsister, Linette Hill and her husband Aristede of Bloomfield; a special aunt, Shirley Rogers Gray; four nephews, Rashad, Tyron, Trejzhaun, and Khaijzhaun; two nieces, Quantia and Leticia; his god mother, Sheen Lee; his god brother, Lamar Coleman; his close friends, Ed, Calvin, and Ralph; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Rev. Owen and Worrine Rogers.
A Homegoing service will be held on Friday, May 11, 12 Noon, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 280-282 Windsor Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, 11-12 noon, prior to the service at the church. The family has entrusted Carmon Windsor Funeral Home with the arrangements.
