Garey Thompson Obituary
Garey R. Thompson, age 55, of Manchester, CT; fell asleep peacefully on March 16, 2016 after learning about the resurrection hope. He was born February 20, 1961 to the late Reginald and Mary (Thompson) Downie. He had a heart of gold and experienced more joy in giving than receiving! He was a truck driver for over 20 years and was the best father a child could ever ask for!! He is survived by his daughter Jewel Thompson, whom he loved dearly, his sister, his two brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews. Garey was loved by many and will be truly missed. John 5:28-29. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.

Rip Garey I love you man you were a role model to me. A father figure you taught me a lot. We spent so many times on the phone, you encouraging me and lecturing me. You believed in me more than I believed in myself. I was so hurt to hear that you passed, I wish I could've spent more time with you. I know you would want me to smile and keep my head up, so for you I will do that. But just know I love you and your trully missed. I'll hold it down for you til we meet again my Dawg!!!!
