Georgina Espinoza, 84, daughter to Manuela Paxi, and Victor Cisneros, beloved wife to the late Claudio Espinoza, was born on April 23, 1928, in Arequipa, Peru. In 1965 she immigrated to Hartford, looking for a better life. Though in difficult circumstances, Georgina worked for many years as a housekeeper for Travelers (Hartford). She was also a founding member to the Brotherhood of the Lord of Miracles of Peru. Georgina, known to her family as Mama Gina, like a mother she cared for all of her grandchildren, never asked for help but always willing to help others. It was one of her greatest strengths that have been passed down to her family. She is survived by her children, Gustavo and wife Ramonita, Jorge and wife Ruth, Maritza and husband Raul Rodriguez. Behind she leaves her devoted grandchildren, Sophia, Victor, Enrique, Antonio, Andres, and Roberto. As well as her siblings Juanita Llerena, Lola Cerpa, Cesar Cisneros, Javier, Abraham, and Benjamin Paxi; and their spouses, and brother in law, Oscar Espinoza and his wife. Georgina passed away the early morning of November, 18, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Special thanks from the family to Hughes Rehab, Interim Health, St. Francis Hospital oncology unit 8-1, Hebrew Day Care, and all who cared for Mama Gina. Mama Gina gave us more than just her time and love; she made every day something worth remembering. She taught us the importance of love, friendship and family. Never to fight always, lend a helping hand, and to always spend time with family no matter how little. Now with God by her side, she will continue to watch over us as we look up to her.
