GANDOLFO, Giuseppe

Giuseppe Gandolfo, 86, of New Britain, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away on January 30, 2013, after a long battle with COPD and complication from influenza. He was born August 28, 1926 in Marsala, Italy to the late Francesco and Isabella Gandolfo. In 1959 he moved his family to Venezuela where he owned and operated a bakery. He loved to watch soccer games and kept a picture of the Italian soccer team on the wall near his television. He enjoyed a good poker game with friends and family and was always ready to play. He was a member of the Generale Ameglio Italian Club in New Britain, where he spent much time. He had a passion for good food, wine and especially good bread. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Rosa Wilson and her husband Kent of Portland; his son Franco Gandolfo of Maracaibo, Venezuela; and daughters Julisa Gandolfo of Tampa, FL, and Lisa Harripersaud and her husband Richie of Orlando, FL; and step-daughter Made Aleman and her husband Jimmy of Long Island, NY; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Guiseppe was predeceased by his first wife Vincenza (Struppa) Gandolfo; his brothers Antonio and Vincenzo and his sister Francesca.
