WASICKI, Jeanette Ann (Devereux)
Jeanette Ann (Devereux) Wasicki of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Connecticut, beloved wife of 52 years Frank X. Wasicki (Butch), passed away Sunday at Americare Hospice after a long illness. Born May 8, 1940 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Teresa (LaChase) Devereux. Born and raised in Middletown, she was raised by her Aunt Margaret LaChase after her mother died at a young age. She worked for the State of Connecticut and retired in 1995 as Chief Purchasing Officer for the Department of Health Services. A member of St. John Church Middletown. Her hobbies were knitting, playing the organ, singing and golfing. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, David X. Wasicki and a daughter Theresa Devereux (Wasicki) of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by a brother, Ed Devereux and his wife Gloria Bay City, MI. She is survived by many cousins, including Ronald LaChase and his wife Kathy LaChase of Ontario, CA, Anthony LaChase and his wife Colleen LaChase of Hesperia, CA. She leaves nephews, David Devereux and his wife Heidi of Clarkstown, MI, Marc Devereux and his wife Eva of La Jolla, CA and a niece, Michelle Devereux. She also leaves a great nephew, Jack Devereux of Clarkstown, MI. She is predeceased by many aunts and uncles. She is also survived by Contessa and Miggi, whom she loved as if they were her children. She was an avid member of the Catholic Church, participated on numerous committees and even played the organ on Sundays. She never met a person that she didn't like and she was loved by everyone who met her throughout her lifetime. Jeanette's family would like to thank family and friends for their support during her long illness.
The funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home 491 High St. Middletown followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. John Church Middletown at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
