Obituary Condolences

ANDERSON, John Richmond John Richmond Anderson, 78, of Brewster, MA, died Monday, (December 20, 2004) in Hyannis, MA, from complications resulting from heart disease. Mr. Anderson was born March 29, 1926 in Boston. Graduated Dorchester High School in 1943. Graduated Suffolk College in 1950. Resided in Dorchester, MA for 25 years, then Westwood, MA for eight years. He resided in Simsbury for 31 years. Mr. Anderson had lived in Brewster for 11 years. He served his country with the U.S. Army in Europe in World War II. Mr. Anderson went to work for Hobart Manufacturing Co. in 1950 as a salesman. He enjoyed a 37 year career in sales management with Hobart, retiring in 1986 as Sales Manager. He was a member of First Church of Christ in Simsbury. He was a former Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America, a Wood Badge recipient and active in District and Council Affairs. Past President of Sales and Marketing Executives of Hartford, Inc. from 1975-76. He played many sports as a youth, playing baseball and hockey in high school and college. He also enjoyed watching both sports. His brothers, Donald and Richard Anderson predeceased. His parents were the late John R. and Frances (Fenech) Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. Anderson (Mouzar); his son, John R. Anderson, Jr. and wife, Jeanne of Cheshire; his daughter, Nancy A. Fox and her husband, Mark of Laguna Woods, CA; his grandchildren, Zoe and John (Jack) III of Cheshire. A Visitation will be held Sunday, December 26, from 4-6 p.m. in the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, at 12 noon, in the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St., Braintree, MA. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 30 at 11 a.m. in the First Church of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Cape & Island Division, 2 White's Path, Yarmouth, MA 02664.
